Sue’s responsibilities as Chair of Eskil include the guidance and stewardship of the board, leadership development of individual board members, and monitoring of the governance and compliance of the business.

We had worked with Sue before in her capacity as a local government CEO and, as we needed someone who could guide and support us through a time of growth, her extensive commercial and executive background made her the obvious choice.

(Neil Fogarty, CEO, Eskil)

Sue finished her tenure as a local government CEO in May 2017 and begins her role as Chair with Eskil on June 1, 2017.

One of the ambitions of Eskil is to take the business offering into the Chinese market and this will, over the next 12 months, be one of Sue’s primary strategic activities whilst ensuring, from an operational perspective, that Eskil’s governance & compliance is robust.

I first retained Eskil to introduce commercial awareness and intrapreneurship to a three-way council structure.  We soon began to refer to them for leadership development as well as mentoring and performance intervention activities.  I liked their way of working and I responded really well to their straightforward approach to business.

(Sue Smith, Chair, Eskil)
